The Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU), in cooperation with Gaza Municipality, carried out maintenance works on the wastewater network in the Tammous Intersection area of Sheikh Radwan neighborhood as part of the Heavy Machinery Rental and Provision of Labor and Technicians Project, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The maintenance works included exposing a 21-meter-long wastewater pipeline, installing HDPE pipes, and installing a wastewater manhole, including its base and cover. The works also included connecting a 4-inch-diameter pipeline measuring 5 meters in length, cleaning six manholes, and clearing the wastewater pipeline.
In addition, the works included backfilling the intervention site, leveling the ground, and rehabilitating the site. These interventions contribute to improving the efficiency of the wastewater network and reducing blockages and wastewater leakage.
