Continuing Work on the Project to Install Solar Power Systems for a Number of Well-Based Desalination Plants

CMWU continues work on the project to install solar power systems for a number of well-based desalination plants in various areas south of the Gaza Strip, funded by the European Union through Oxfam, with the project including installing solar power systems at Abu Ishaq well plant in Bani Suheila town, the Sports Club well plant, Aya well, and Al-Sa'ada plant in Khan Younis city, and Al-Safa and Al-Sikka plants in Rafah city, aiming to ensure the operation of those plants for a greater number of hours to secure residents' needs of drinking water, with this project serving a large number of residents of those areas.
This project comes as part of CMWU's plan aimed at addressing the problems resulting from power outages, to ensure the continuation of the service provided in the targeted areas, reduce operating costs, and contribute to improving the environment, as CMWU had previously supplied numerous water and sanitation facilities with solar power systems and continues to seek to secure more facilities.
