Successful handling of the effects of the recent weather depression in Rafah thanks to CMWU's early readiness for the winter season.

CMWU's technical crews at its headquarters in Rafah intervened and successfully handled all the problems resulting from the recent weather depression in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, in an effort to protect residents and their property from the effects of heavy rainfall. This was achieved thanks to the readiness for the winter season that CMWU had worked on at the level of sanitation and rainwater facilities and the equipment of the field work crews, which was begun and completed by the end of this summer.

It is worth noting that CMWU, as part of its early preparations for the rainy season, carried out maintenance and rehabilitation on numerous sewage pumping stations in the Gaza Strip, in addition to carrying out maintenance works on main sanitation networks and lines damaged by the Israeli war in Jabalia, Beit Lahia, Gaza, Al-Bureij, Khan Younis, and other areas, and also supplied all the technical crews affiliated with the Strip's municipalities with clothing and protective materials for the winter season, and maintained the water and sanitation machinery affiliated with the Strip's municipalities and the electric power generators of water and sanitation facilities, with support and funding from numerous international organizations working in the water field in the Gaza Strip.
