CMWU's Emergency Committee in Rafah Affirms Its Continuation in Providing Services to Residents of Rafah Governorate Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic

CMWU's Emergency Committee at the Rafah regional headquarters affirmed its continuation in providing services to residents of Rafah governorate amid the coronavirus pandemic and its repercussions on all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, and this came during a meeting of the Emergency Committee, held today at CMWU's regional headquarters in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
The meeting also included a discussion of the operational challenges facing water and sanitation facilities, particularly amid the lack of bill collection and its decline to its lowest levels, and the shortage of the fuel needed to operate the facilities during power outages, in addition to heavy water and sanitation vehicles.
It is worth noting that CMWU's Emergency Committee in Rafah has been in permanent session since the imposition of the curfew and the declaration of the state of emergency in the Gaza Strip as a result of the emergence of coronavirus cases within the community, in order to follow up on the provision of services and respond to all residents' complaints related to water and sanitation.
