Human Appeal Continues Supporting Work on the Second Part of Phase One of the Project to Develop and Increase the Capacity of Ibn Taymiyyah Desalination Plant in Al-Brazil Neighborhood, Rafah

CMWU announced the completion of extending the desalinated water transmission line into the water distribution network for the areas benefiting from the plant in the Rafah area, in order to deliver desalinated water from the plant to those areas, as part of the works of Phase One of the project to develop and increase the capacity of Ibn Taymiyyah desalination plant in Al-Brazil neighborhood in Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, funded by Human Appeal – Britain.
This phase includes developing and increasing the plant's production capacity to 1,200 cubic meters per day, enabling it to serve 30,000 residents, and securing their needs of desalinated water, particularly amid the difficult conditions experienced by the Strip's residents.
It is worth noting that the first part of Phase One included drilling a water well with a capacity of 80 cubic meters per hour to supply the plant with the water needed, in addition to all the necessary electromechanical works.
