CMWU, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Khan Younis Municipality, and with support from Action Against Hunger, has installed a 6-inch wastewater transmission line connecting the wastewater pumping station serving Nasser Hospital to the main transmission line on Al-Bahr Street. The intervention aims to address the health hazard caused by the inability of the existing line to accommodate the volume of wastewater flowing through it.
The intervention is intended to improve wastewater drainage from Nasser Hospital and reduce wastewater overflows and accumulation in its surroundings. This will help address the health and environmental problems caused by the limited capacity of the old line and improve sanitary and environmental conditions within the hospital and its surrounding area.
