Statement of Mourning and Condemnation Issued by CMWU
With deep sorrow and grief, CMWU mourns the martyrs of duty among the employees of the municipalities east of Khan Younis, who rose to martyrdom as a result of brutal Israeli occupation bombardment while they were working on a sewage vacuum truck affiliated with the water utility, while carrying out their humanitarian duty of serving our people and easing their suffering amid the continuing aggression.

We condemn in the strongest terms this criminal targeting, which constitutes a flagrant violation of all international conventions and norms that guarantee the protection of workers in service and emergency sectors, and confirms the Israeli occupation's disregard for all humanitarian values and international laws.
In the face of this dangerous escalation, CMWU calls on all UN-affiliated institutions and international humanitarian organizations to act quickly and exert serious pressure to provide full protection for emergency crews and service teams, who work under extremely dangerous conditions to provide essential services to citizens.
May God have mercy on our righteous martyrs, and we ask God for a speedy recovery for the wounded, affirming our continuation of our humanitarian mission in serving our people in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with our local and international partners, despite all the challenges we face.
