Rubble Removal and Cleaning of Seven Main Wells in Jabalia Ahead of Their Maintenance

CMWU, in partnership with the Red Cross, removed rubble and cleaned seven main wells in Jabalia ahead of their comprehensive maintenance.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve water services in Jabalia city, CMWU, in cooperation with Jabalia Municipality and in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, carried out field works including removing rubble and cleaning seven main wells, ahead of carrying out comprehensive maintenance works aimed at strengthening the operational efficiency of the city's water sources.

The works covered the following: Hira well, the old Al-Nazla well, the new Al-Nazla well, Al-Zarqa well, the East Abu Shurkh well, Arjuni well, and Quba well, where they were equipped and access to them was facilitated as part of an emergency plan aimed at ensuring their continued operation and supplying residents with water.

This intervention is part of the water utility's efforts to restore water service in Gaza City and the northern cities, and ensure it reaches residents at the minimum possible level amid the difficult conditions and field challenges facing the water sector.
