CMWU, funded by Oxfam, repaired water and sanitation networks in Nuseirat, serving more than 30,000 people.
Funded through Oxfam in partnership with the Friends of the Environment Association and Nuseirat Municipality, CMWU has been working for a week to repair water and sanitation networks in the Nuseirat area, with the work including repairing the main water lines that receive Mekorot water into the central reservoir in Nuseirat, in addition to the distribution and transmission water lines feeding the residents of Nuseirat city. In addition, the sanitation transmission networks were repaired, and the works have been fully completed and the system has been operated, with these works serving more than 30,000 people. This work is part of the work being carried out by the water utility's emergency team, and it is worth noting that our crews are currently assessing the damage caused by the Israeli occupation's destruction of water and sanitation networks and facilities in various areas, to be repaired with whatever resources are available.
