Beginning Implementation of a Water Network Rehabilitation Project in Various Areas of the Gaza Strip

CMWU began implementing a project to rehabilitate water networks in various areas of the Gaza Strip, funded by Anera and in cooperation with the municipalities within whose jurisdiction those areas fall.
The project includes rehabilitating water networks in various areas of Khuza'a, Al-Qarara, and Abasan Al-Jadida in Khan Younis governorate, south of the Gaza Strip, in addition to Al-Zahra city, and rehabilitating the transmission line to Al-Kawthar water reservoir in Al-Maghraqa, which serves about 6,000 people. The works also include replacing the old water networks in the targeted areas with new ones of various diameters, with a total length of 15km.
This project aims to improve and strengthen the water service in the targeted areas, particularly with the onset of the summer season and the need for water consumption, and this project serves about 20,000 people at a total value of $223,000.
