Beginning Implementation of a Solar Power Operating System and 24-Hour Power Line Construction Project for Al-Baraka Water Reservoir in Deir al-Balah

CMWU began implementing the project to construct a solar power operating system for Al-Baraka reservoir south of Deir al-Balah city, funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, and in cooperation with Deir al-Balah Municipality.
This project will provide the power needed to operate the reservoir at full capacity, by installing a solar power system and connecting to the permanent power line, which will lead to operating the reservoir around the clock and improving the water service in the areas benefiting from the reservoir.
It is worth noting that Al-Baraka reservoir serves the western and southern part of Deir al-Balah city (the Al-Hakr Al-Mashaale and Al-Baraka area, in addition to Al-Mu'askar and Al-Hadaba), with the number of beneficiaries of the reservoir exceeding 50,000 people.
