Beginning the Extension of a Permanent Power Line to Operate Al-Furqan Water Reservoir in Nuseirat Around the Clock

Gaza – CMWU

CMWU, in cooperation with Nuseirat Municipality and funded by UNICEF, began extending a permanent electric power line to operate Al-Furqan water reservoir in Nuseirat, central Gaza Strip, around the clock, with a capacity of 400 amperes.

This aims to operate the water reservoir and its associated facilities, represented in Al-Furqan water well and the desalination plant next to the reservoir, which strengthens water pumping in the network and improves the water service provided to residents, particularly with the approaching summer season, as this reservoir serves about 50,000 people.

It is worth noting that, as part of this project, the reservoir and its facilities were supplied with a solar power system, in order to ensure the reservoir's operation for the greatest possible number of hours and increase the quantities of water pumped into the distribution networks in the areas served by the reservoir.
