CMWU, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality, completed developing and rehabilitating Hasbat Al-Samak sewage pumping station in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to raise its efficiency and improve its readiness to operate, particularly during the rainy season and peak hours, as this station serves about 80,000 people, with this coming as part of the emergency repair and maintenance project linked to combating the coronavirus, implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the German development organization GIZ, and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
