Funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), CMWU, in partnership with Gaza Municipality, completed the works of the first phase of the Al-Yarmouk water reservoir maintenance project.

The works included removing the rubble and remnants of the destroyed and damaged parts of the service buildings and the booster station, in addition to rehabilitating and maintaining the existing reservoir, including sealing the openings caused by bombardment and addressing cracks, internal and external insulation, and painting works to prevent any leaks.

It is worth noting that the second phase of the project will begin soon, covering the electromechanical maintenance works for the reservoir and the booster station, in addition to maintaining and restoring the well in the reservoir yard to operation.
