Gaza – CMWU

As part of its preparations for the winter season, CMWU's crews, in cooperation with Rafah Municipality, cleaned rainwater drains in all neighborhoods and areas of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip, aiming to strengthen their readiness to receive rainwater and clean them of debris and dirt that negatively affect the rainwater drainage process, in order to ensure the safety of traffic movement on the roads and prevent residents' homes from flooding, particularly in low-lying areas, as a result of rainwater flooding.

On the other hand, CMWU's crews carried out maintenance on a number of sanitation manholes in various areas of Rafah city, to prevent sewage overflow and the formation of health hazards harmful to the residents of those areas.
