Job announcement for the position of Team Leader at the treatment plant east of Al-Bureij.

Job Announcement

Position: Team Leader (2 positions).
Workplace: Treatment Plant East of Al-Bureij.
Contract duration: One year (renewable).
Working days and hours: 45 hours - 6 days a week.
Application deadline: 17 October 2020.

Main Job Duties:

  1. Carrying out daily routine maintenance work on all machines and equipment, or as instructed by the direct manager.
  2. Coordinating and assisting in the repair and preventive maintenance process for all equipment.
  3. Assisting in diagnosing equipment malfunctions in cooperation with engineers and making the necessary adjustments under the supervision of the relevant specialists.
  4. Verifying that all operation work is correct and continuous, continuously reviewing records and charts, and filling out the routine maintenance records carried out on all equipment.
  5. Supervising the disposal of screenings and grit to the approved drying and disposal areas.
  6. Supervising the transfer of wet sludge to the sludge drying beds and the disposal of dried sludge to the approved disposal area or according to the sludge management plan.
  7. Following up on the sampling program to ensure performance according to the operation plan, and following up and reviewing water analysis reports and results and communicating with the relevant parties in this regard, and following up on the plant's performance and providing advice to operators.
  8. Preparing chemical dispensing orders and following up on the plant's chemical consumption.
  9. Coordinating with operators, engineers, and technicians regarding the preventive maintenance schedule and its timely implementation in order to ensure reliable and continuous performance.
  10. Ensuring the availability of personal protective equipment, that first-aid materials and equipment are available, and that all activities are carried out with minimum risk, coordinating with the relevant parties regarding incident/accident reports.
  11. Periodic inspection of cleanliness, vehicles, equipment, machines, tools, fire-fighting facilities, excavations, scaffolding, elevators, and cranes needed in operation and maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
  2. No less than four years of experience in electromechanical work.
  3. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and devices related to pumping and treatment stations.
  4. Experience in keeping routine maintenance records and charts.
  5. Fluency in spoken and written English.
  6. Good knowledge of MS Office programs or above.
  7. Applicant's age must not exceed 45 years.
  8. Applicant must be a resident of the Gaza Strip.
