
Rehabilitating and maintaining a number of well-based desalination plants in various areas of the Strip, funded by the Canadian government.
CMWU, in partnership with Action Against Hunger (ACF), is currently rehabilitating and maintaining a number of well-based desalination plants in various areas of the Gaza Strip, funded by the Canadian government, with the project including maintaining and rehabilitating Al-Qarya desalination plant in Umm Al-Nasr, Al-Kalbouch and Al-Farouq plants in Nuseirat, Al-Muntazah plant in Al-Maghazi, Al-Huda and Al-Satr plants in Khan Younis, Al-Najjar plant in Bani Suheila, Al-Saudi plant in Rafah, and Al-Hawz plant in Jabalia, aiming to raise the efficiency of those plants, which leads to improving water services and supplying residents with drinking water, particularly amid the exceptional conditions the Gaza Strip is going through, as those plants serve a large number of residents in the aforementioned areas.
