Rehabilitation of the Old Al-Nazla Water Well in Jabalia
CMWU, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Jabalia al-Nazla Municipality, rehabilitated the old Al-Nazla water well in the Jabalia al-Nazla area and increased the well's production capacity.
The well's pump, which had stopped and been replaced with a lower-capacity pump due to the lack of resources available during the war, was rehabilitated and maintained. Through this current intervention by CMWU, the damaged pump was maintained and restored to service, which increases the well's production capacity to 75 cubic meters per hour, improving the quantity of water reaching citizens as well as the areas to which water is delivered.
The old Al-Nazla well is one of the main wells in Jabalia Municipality, through which water is supplied to the entire Jabalia al-Nazla area.
These efforts are part of ongoing efforts to rehabilitate water facilities that were severely damaged during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has worsened the crisis of delivering water to citizens and displaced persons.
