CMWU Participates in the Opening of the Workshop to Launch the Project for Developing an Emergency Preparedness Plan for the Water Sector in Palestine
CMWU Executive Director, Eng. Monther Shoblaq, participated in the opening of the workshop launching the project to develop an Emergency Preparedness Plan for the water sector in Palestine, held under the patronage and in the presence of the Head of the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), Eng. Mazen Ghuneim. The workshop aims to contribute to developing an integrated plan to prevent the collapse of water and wastewater services through a comprehensive assessment across Palestine, with particular focus on the Gaza Strip given the repeated Israeli wars on the Strip. It also aims to develop proposals and recommendations that will contribute to preparing the emergency plan, taking into consideration the existing plans developed by partner institutions to operate during emergencies. In addition, the workshop seeks to strengthen coordination and integrated action among all partners, including defining roles and responsibilities and establishing clear working mechanisms.
