مصلحة مياه بلديات الساحل ومؤسسة المساعدات الاسلامية توقعان اتفاقية انشاء محطة تحلية بمستشفى الشفاء بغزة

وقعت مصلحة مياه بلديات الساحل ومؤسسة المساعدة الإسلامية اتفاقية إنشاء محطة تحلية في مستشفى الشفاء بغزة بتمويل قدره 420 ألف دولار ووقع الاتفاقية الدكتور ماجد عوني أبو رمضان رئيس مجلس إدارة مصلحة المياه والدكتور وائل عبد العال مدير مكتب المساعدة الاسلامية بغزة .
ويأتي هذا المشروع ضمن المشاريع التي تنفذها مصلحة المياه بالتعاون مع مؤسسة المساعدة الإسلامية لتحسين خدمات وإمدادات المياه في قطاع غزة حيث تم سابقاً حفر وإنشاء بئر مياه في منطقة وادي السلقا.
ورحب الدكتور ماجد ابو رمضان بهذه الاتفاقية التي تعمل على إعادة تأهيل البنية التحتية لمستشفى الشفاء بتوفير مياه صحية نظيفة كي تساعد كافة الاقسام بالاستخدام الامن لهذه المياه, معرباً عن سعادته بالتعاون المشترك بين مصلحة المياه ومؤسسة المساعدة الإسلامية.
وأوضح الدكتور وائل عبد العال مدير مكتب المساعدة الإسلامية بغزة أن هذا المشروع يقام على حملة تبرعات أطلقتها المساعدة الإسلامية في بريطانيا من اجل تمويل هذا المشروع الإنساني والذي لاقى إقبالا كبيراً من المتبرعين , مبيينا ان مشاريع المياه وبالتعاون مع مصلحة المياه هي مشاريع ناجحة تخدم فئات كبيرة من الشعب الفلسطيني ,
ومن جانبه أكد المهندس منذر شبلاق مدير عام المصلحة ان مشروع محطة التحلية في مستشفى الشفاء يشمل بناء وتركيب محطة تحلية لتحسين نوعية وكمية المياه المزودة للمستشفى لارتفاع نسبة الملوحة والتي تؤثر سلبا على معظم المعدات الطبية المستخدمة في المستشفى وخصوصا قسم وحدة الكلى ويأتي في سياق استمرار دعم مصلحة المياه لمستشفى الشفاء من أجل تامين احتياجات المستشفى من المياه الصالحة لاستخدامات مختلف الأقسام وهي المحطة الثانية التي يتم تركيبها في مستشفى الشفاء خلال الثلاث السنوات الأخيرة حيث سبقها تركيب وحدة تحلية لقسم الكلى.
وبين شبلاق أن العمل في المشروع سيبدأ في شهر اكتوبر2015 ، ويشمل المشروع تعديل أحد آبار المياه الموجودة, وتركيب رأس بئر كامل , وبناء وتركيب مضخة مياه لتوزيعها نحو شبكة توزيع المياه في المستشفى.
ومن المتوقع أن تبلغ القدرة الإنتاجية للمحطة 100 متر مكعب في اليوم ولكن مع تنامي احتياجات المستشفى فإن مصلحة المياه اقترحت اضافة 500 متر مكعب يوميا .
يذكر أن جميع مناطق قطاع غزة تعاني مشكلة ارتفاع نسبة الملوحة في مياه آبار مما يستدعي التدخل عن طريق حفر آبار مياه جديدة أو إنشاء محطات تحلية صغيرة لتوفير مياه صالحة للشرب بنوعية مقبولة وكميات مناسبة .

Coastal Municipalities Water Utility and the Islamic Help Sign an Agreement of Constructing a Desalination Plant at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza

CMWU and the Islamic Help signed an agreement of constructing a desalination plant in Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza with funding of 420,000 $. The agreement was signed by Dr. Maged Awni Abu Ramadan, CMWU chairman and Dr. Wael Abdelal, Director of Islamic Help Office in Gaza.

This project is part of some projects that were implemented by CMWU in cooperation with the Islamic Help to improve water supplies and services in the Gaza Strip such as a water well project at Wadi Al-Salqa area in the Middle Governorate.

Dr. Maged Abu Ramadan praised this agreement which is working on the rehabilitation of the infrastructure of Al-Shifa Hospital to provide clean and healthy water to help all departments to use this water safely. He also expressed his happiness on the joint collaboration between CMWU and Islamic Help.

Dr. Wael Abdelal , Director of Islamic Help Office in Gaza, said that this project will be achieved via donations campaign launched by the Islamic Help in Britain in order to finance this humanitarian project which was met with overwhelming response from donors showing that water projects in cooperation with CMWU

Engineer Monther Shoplaq, CMWU Director General, confirmed that the project at Al- Shifa Hospital includes the construction of a desalination plant to improve the quality and quantity of water supplied to the hospital due to high salinity which negatively affect most of the medical equipment used in the hospital especially the Department of Kidney Unit. This project comes in the context of the continued support of CMWU to Al-Shifa Hospital in order to secure the hospital needs of potable water for the use of various departments. The desalination plant is considered the second plant installed at Al-Shifa Hospital during the last three years which was preceded by the installation of a desalination plant for the kidney Unit.

Eng. Shoblaq told that the project is expected to begin on October 2015. The project includes a modification for an existing water well, installation of full head for the well, construction of a new pump to pump water to water distribution network in the hospital.

The production capacity of the desalination plant is expected to reach 100 cubic meters per day but with the growing needs of the hospital, CMWU decided to add more 500 cubic meters per day.

It is noteworthy that all areas of the Gaza Strip are suffering from high salinity in the wells which needed intervention by drilling new water wells or creating small desalination plants to provide drinking water with acceptable quality and appropriate amounts.
